Evaluate – 2 sp Your character has the ability to identify materials as well as determine the average value of those materials in either raw or crafted forms.
Field Repair – 5 sp (prereqs – 1 rank in Craft/Smith) (5 ranks) With the use of a field repair kit or portable forge, your character can make quick but relatively stable repairs to numerous objects and items.
First Aid – 3 sp (Prereqs – Holistics) Your character has the ability to treat wounds and bring other beings back from Bleeding.

Holistics – 3 sp Your character has been trained in the ability to examine and diagnose a variety of ailments and conditions of the body.

Read and Write – 2 sp Your character has been taught how to read and write the common language of the realm.
Smith – 5 sp (5 ranks) Your character is a skilled smithy. You can smith various types of items. This skill works like Craft. Armor Smith Machine Smith Ore Smith Shield Smith Tool Smith Weapon Smith Weapon Skill – 2 sp Choose a weapon type (i.e. – Small, Medium, Long, Staff/Large). You are now skilled enough to use any weapons of that type in combat.
Role-Playing Skills
Army – 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 sp (7 ranks) You are in the army. Each rank of Army signifies your rise through the ranks. You get greater benefits but also get greater responsibilities and obligations. (Ranks in ( ) are the promotional ranks that must be earned IP before official advancement to the next buyable rank. You can theoretically buy all 5 ranks at once, but would still only qualify for the ranks you had earned IP. Rank 1 - Private (Corporal) Rank 2 - Sergeant (Master Sergeant) Rank 3 - Lieutenant (Captain) Rank 4 - Major (Colonel) Rank 5 - Commander (Brigader) Rank 6 - Lieutenant General (General) Rank 7 - Major General (Lord General)
Black Market – 5 sp (prereqs – Rank 1 Merchant) (5 ranks) Your character is a merchant of less than legal status. This skill works just like Merchant except that you are dealing with the shady side of commerce. High risks, high rewards.
Contacts – 5 sp (5 ranks) Your character has access to various contacts across the realm that can provide you with information and possibly even favors, all for a price. Higher ranks yield better information.
Fence – 5 sp (prereqs – Rank 1 Black Market or Rank 3 Contacts) (5 ranks) Your character has access to a fence, a person who is able to sell items outside of the legal channels without questions and with almost no traceable activity. Higher ranks allow you to get rid of more difficult items as well as get better returns on items that are fenced.
Guild – 5 sp (5 ranks) Your character is part of one of the numerous guilds of the realm. Higher ranks afford your greater benefits and power. Merchants Military Crafters Churches Regional Adventurers Fighters Rogues Scholarly
Industry – 5 sp (5 ranks) Your character is an industrialist and has access to a production space. This skill allows a character to oversee the production of a particular item or type of items during BEAs. Higher ranks allow for greater output at higher quality.
Influence – 5 sp (5 ranks) Your character has influence with a certain person or organization either through family or favors owed. Higher ranks allow you to have more weight and provide you the opportunity to get more accomplished with greater ease. Guild Military Government Church People Organization
Land Owner – 5 sp (prereqs – Level 15) (5 ranks) Your character has either purchased of been granted land. Greater ranks give you new land or increase your current holdings, and allow you to build greater buildings and infrastructure.
Leadership – 5 sp (prereqs – Level 15) (5 ranks) Your character is well-known and has attracted a following. You gain an NPC follower. Higher ranks allow for more followers and followers of higher levels.
Merchant – 5 sp (5 ranks) Your character is an aspiring merchant. This skill allows you access to various markets around the realm that other characters do not have access to. Higher ranks allow you to buy and trade more rare and exotic items.
Noble – 5 sp per rank (prereqs – Plot approval and/or lots of high quality role-playing) (5 ranks) Your character is a noble of some kind. You get free money each event and are covered with a special blanket of protection in everyday life. Profession – 5 sp (prereqs – Rank 1 in any other skill) (5 ranks) Your character is a professional of some type. Pick about anything that uses a craft, knowledge, smith, gathering, or any other appropriate skill. Your character makes money being a professional in this area.
Point of Sale – 5 sp (prereqs – Rank 1 Merchant) (5 ranks) You are either well known or have a silver tongue that allows you to buy and sell items for better prices than your less skilled contemporaries.
Rumors – 5 sp (5 ranks) Your character has a knack for hearing things. The higher ranks of this skill give better rumors are and the more easily verifiable they become.
Wealth – 5 sp (prereqs – reasonable reason for this skill) (5 ranks) Your character is richer than the average person. Each event, you get essentially free money. Higher ranks produce more money.

| The nobility skills... they seem like ascending ranks. Does it cost 5sp per rank or 5sp flat for a position? | |

Yes, they ascend in cost as well. 5 skill points per rank.
I know some people may decry this as being hugely expensive. But nobles, especially when you start pushing into rank 3 and above (with the exception of general nobility) quickly become very badass in the powers and protections they are afforded. Of course, this is also why I stressed that A LOT of SUPERIOR role-playing is essential beyond character creation if you have any hopes of advancing. | |
