One winters eve on a night that most stayed inside by a fire to keep the chill at bey. A Lone hooded figure walked at a rapid pace down the desolate streets. If you noted the direction this stranger traveled you would note that he seemed to be headed towards the Library district. Normally he would wait till morning to undertake this journey for it was dangerous to walk alone on such a winters eve. The hooded figure didn't seem to mind he was fully capable of defending himself if the situation arose. Fortunately it rarely did because his robes, scroll case, and swords he carried warned away most would be attackers. Upon Reaching the Library the hooded figure paused to look up at the full moon peaking out from behind the clouds.

The Library doors were made of large oaken wood with intricate silver engravings and golden handles shaped like dragons standing on their hind legs. There were no locks on these doors for they were normally to heavy for anyone to move. These doors were magically enchanted to become light as a feather when the correct power words were spoken. He had always marveled at the masterful skill at which these doors were crafted and enchanted. Pressing his hand to the door he spoke the words that would make the doors as light as feathers, "Feathious Magious!" He pushed the door open just enough for him to slip in out of the chilly night. As he closed the doors behind himself he said' "Linchious!" The doors would become unmovable again as they shut keeping out all that would seek to rob or destroy the knowledge stored in this marvelous library.

The Library's Keeper was an elderly woman who had been the keeper for as long as anyone could remember. There were few still alive that knew her true name and none that truly knew her age. The tome she kept on her desk was by far the larges tome in existence. She was always writing in the tome and she rarely looked up from what ever she was writing, and no one knew save some of her servants who looked after and kept the library in working order tho many doubted that even they knew what she wrote. Without looking up from her work she said, " Welcome Master Morgrave, your normal study is ready and i took the liberty of having Mother Margret place the tomes and scrolls you will need in your studies inside as well as prepare our herbal tea you are so fond of." The hooded man removed his hood revealing the blue metallic patterns that were unique to him that marked him as a human blooded created, and he said, " Thank you Keeper" with a slight bow to her as he walked toward his study. The Keeper always knew what tomes anyone who walked through the threshold of her dwelling sought. Mother Margret met Morgrave at his study and she said, " Master Morgrave, your tea is ready and in your favorite goblet. I also stacked the tomes in an order that might make your studies more successful." "Thank you Mother Margret, your service is always the first rate and very appreciated." said Morgrave. With a slight bow Mother Margret returned to her normal duties.

Morgrave walked over to the chair and sank into it and taking the goblet took a sip of his tea to relax his mind he had a trying night ahead of him. He had question that he must answer and answers that needed the proper questions asked. These were the questions he sought to find the answers. He doubted that few if any knew the questions and those that did would not likely share these questions willingly. He would have to find the questions and answers on his own for now for it would be more dangerous than walking into a dragons lair if the questions he sought fell into the wrong hands. Taking one last sip of his tea the took the first tome and lost himself in his studies.
